Never a dull moment

A 1-minute read.

I fell in love with my studio as soon as I saw it but there was a wee niggling worry in the back of my mind that I might be lonely there on my own. Or (gawd forbid) bored!

Ha! Not for a second!

The building’s really quiet (I’ve pretty much got the place to myself at the moment) but if I need a bit of a distraction I only need to glance out the windows. On one side there’s a family of pretty little sparrows nesting in the climbing plants that weave around the window frame.

On the other side, there’s a view down into the lane. I get so absorbed in my work that I barely look up but when I do there always seems to be a photoshoot taking place! I’m not hugely surprised― with its cobbles and multicoloured buildings this place is highly Instagramable.

On my first day there I saw a girl with amazing hair pose in front of a lime green wall as a makeup artist adjusted her lippy and a photographer adjusted a lens the size of a small car. The next day it was a bunch of lads who were pouting against the painted brickwork.

Yesterday, as I drank my tea, I watched a young couple take shots of a Jack Russell in a flowery bandana …!
